Naidoc Week- Tiddalick the little frog that grew

Throughout Term 2, the children in the Dallanjir and Wonnarua Rooms have been exploring the dreaming story of "Tiddalick the Little Frog That Grew". This story was written by James Wilson-Miller and illustrated by Charlotte Craven-Miller. This book is written in both English and Wonnarua languages. Using the images and language from this story, the children have begun storytelling themselves.

This year’s NAIDOC Week is "For Our Elders", and we share this dreaming story to celebrate this. Using the outside, being on Country, and allowing the children to feel the warmth of the sun and hear the Kukun (water) rushing from Tiddalick's mouth.

The story is told in the creek bed and the water tank is Tiddalick.
