Branxton Preschool ESTD. 1987
Branxton Preschool is a not for profit community based preschool providing education and care for children aged between 3-6 years. The Preschool is set on Wonnarua land in the heart of our community. We have a long established history within our community and place a value on building a sense of community connection amongst the children, families, and educators. We recognise our cultural connection to our local community, and we welcome families from all cultures and respect the important role they play in their child’s first education.

Our Purpose Statement
Your children...... will actively engage in play! This will stimulate a sense of wellbeing, allow a freedom to express their own personalities and uniqueness, assist in developing relationships, enable connections to be made and enhance curiosity and creativity. Play enables children to develop a positive attitude to learning.
Their future....... will include an approach to pedagogy that provides young children with opportunities to maximise their potential and develop a foundation for future success in learning. As a team, we will advocate for their rights under the “United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child” and the Early Childhood sector as a whole.
Our educational journey at Branxton Preschool is one that we collaboratively share hand-in-hand with our children and families.
Our community..... plays a significant role in your child’s early years of learning. The creation of strong, trusting and long-lasting connections with our families and our community, allow for a flow of learning and the sharing of valuable resources and knowledge. We encourage and recognise the contribution our children make not only to their community, but their world.

We strive to continuously grow our knowledge and understanding of Australia's First Nations peoples and.......histories on our journey for reconciliation, so we can naturally and authentically embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, history and knowledge into our learning environment and experiences.

We respect the importance of authenticity in our practice and pedagogy. Our philosophy is our core belief, the essence of what our preschool holds near and dear. We believe that being authentic in our practice is the heart of quality early education. We will commit to sharing the workload and being positive role models to not only the children but each other.
Wellbeing
We will ensure our wellbeing is not compromised by placing importance on our own emotional intelligence, physical health, social connection, and purpose to thrive within our preschool. Being well in the holistic sense allows us to provide a happy, nurturing, safe space for our children, families and the community.
EXPLORE
The learning
environment
The learning environment has been carefully planned and landscaped to invite children into learning play spaces, that allow them to explore, engage and plan self-directed play. Our indoor open planned spaces allow the children to feel at home with furnishings that would be seen in their home environment. The play spaces allow the children to be creative, innovative and extend onto their existing knowledge and skills. Our outdoor environment enables the children to experience all that nature has to offer. We have incorporated the surrounding landscape and vegetation to bring nature to children's daily outdoor play and learning environment. A natural creek bed, loose parts, sandpit, mud kitchen, STEAM station, edible garden are just a few of our beautiful invitations to play in our outdoor setting.
